In its staging of Jesus Christ Superstar, EPAC captured the retro spirit of the hippie Passion play. Good acting, well-coordinated choreography, creative scenery and stage effects, and a solid pit orchestra performance delivered a “far-out” experience. Alongside title actor Vincent Burns, Joseph Foti (Judas) brought intensity, and Lorraine Tiderencel (Mary Magdalene) brought warmth and sensitivity. Clever use of vertical space enabled a cast of three dozen to work without appearing cramped.

EPAC's version of Jesus Christ Superstar is moving and tender.
