Tri-Cities Opera Announces 2018-2019 Season
Now approaching its 70th year, Tri-Cities Opera (TCO) announced its 2018-2019 season at a press conference at 11am on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018 at the Opera Center at 315 Clinton Street. The company revealed its upcoming repertoire and corresponding artwork, designed by Gene Czebiniak. Glory Denied, an opera in two tableaux by Tom Cipullo,tells the story of Major Jim Thompson, the longest-held American prisoner of the Vietnam War. Based on a book by Tom Philpott, it employs two singers as the younger and older Thompson and two singers as the younger and older Alyce, his wife.
Performances began last weekend (Nov. 10-12) and conclude this coming weekend (Nov. 17 and 19) at Tri-Cities Opera's Opera Center, 315 Clinton St., Binghamton.

For its 69th season, Tri-Cities Opera again will divide its performance time between Broome County’s performing arts center and the opera company’s own newly refurbished headquarters.
The season will open at The Forum, 236 Washington St., Binghamton, with a fully staged production of Puccini’s lyrical heartbreaker La Boheme. The 3 p.m. Oct. 15 performance will star Meroë Khalia Adeeb (Mimi), Jordan Schreiner (Rodolfo), Stacey Geyer (Musetta), Scottt Purcell (Marcello) and Schaunard (Jake Stamatis).
