My son and I attended the Basically Bach spring concert last night (April 9). We admired the performance and marveled at how different a piece of music -- in this case, the Easter portion of Messiah -- sounds when you're out in the audience, getting the full blend of parts, instead of standing on the risers surrounded by fellow sopranos or basses.
