BCAC names new executive director

By Barb Van Atta The Broome County Arts Council’s Heart of the Arts awards returned today (Sept. 4) with tributes to four members of the local cultural community. Honorees were announced at a 10:30 a.m. press conference at the BCAC offices in downtown Binghamton, hosted by arts council executive director Sharon Ball and BCAC board president Jim Rollo.  They are:

At its annual meeting on Sept. 9, the Broome County Arts Council (BCAC) Board of Directors elected new officers for 2013-2015.  They are:
  • President - James Rollo, Jim Rollo State Farm
  • Vice President - Suzanne DiLella, M & T Bank
  • Secretary - Georgia Burbidge, IBM
  • Treasurer - Thomas Chase, IBM
In addition, the board approved the appointment of the following new directors to three-year terms:
  • Susan M. Appe, Ph.D. Binghamton University
  • Gregory Keeler, WSKG Public Broadcasting
  • Edward R. Quon, Citizens Bank
