If you really love musicals and can’t get enough of them this summer, the relatively new group SPARE (Singers Performers Actors Repertory Entertainment) has put together an energetic production of Chicago, the long-running Broadway show by Fred Ebb (book and lyrics), Bob Fosse (book) and John Kander (music). At the Broome County Arts Council (BCAC), six student artists from area high schools have won awards in “An Artistic Discovery Broome County Congressional High School Art Competition.   They now advance to the final round of competition sponsored by U.S. Representative Richard Hanna for high schools in the 22nd Congressional District.  Hanna will present final awards April 18th at Binghamton's Roberson Museum and Science Center. By George Basler The Rod Serling Video Festival began 19 years ago as a local contest for young video makers in Broome County. Nowadays, however, the locals have some competition. This year’s entrants come from across New York state and from as way away as Tacoma, Wash., and Port Moody, British Columbia in Canada.
