The museum houses many paintings from many 19th century artists such as Edmund D. Lewis, M. Van Wyck and Harry Roseland. The museum itself is a work of art. Designed by Isaac G. Perry, the museum is open to the public for all to see one of the best examples of Victorian architecture.

Highlights of Binghamton’s Next First Friday Art Walk FEBRUARY 2 Highlighting Binghamton’s next First Friday Art Walk on February 2, 6-9 PM include many new gallery and art shows, a French art song recital called “Chocolat” featuring classical music, a history exhibit on refugees, displaced persons and war brides, debut of Binghamton’s first speakeasy on Artists’ Row, display of wearable art masks and masquerade-themed artworks, and more at the 22 venue locations open from 6-9 PM, downtown, west side, and south side. Top gallery and art shows include: - New Works:  Colgan and Ryan featuring artists Martha Colgan and Nancy Ryan (Thru Feb. 24, 2018) at Cooperative Gallery 213 (213 State St., Artists’ Row). - Matt McLean: “Come Live Here with Me” – Variety of water-based media and painting techniques that attempts to create chaos and then establish order (Thru Feb. 24, 2018) at Orazio Salati Gallery & Studio (204 State St., Artists’ Row). - “14 Years: Anniversary Group Exhibition”: Selection of New Works by ABFA Gallery Program, along with some new artist additions (Thru Feb. 2018) at Anthony Brunelli Fine Arts/ABFA (186 State St., Artists’ Row). - Steven Palmer: “Mixed Media and Oil Paintings” (Thru Feb. 2018) at Broome Co. Palmer is a resident of Kirkwood, NY and is employed at Binghamton University.

The Bundy Museum Presents The Art of Peter Keil - A Retrospective Continuing exhibition open 6-9pm during the First Friday Art Walk Peter Keil is one of Germany’s best known contemporary painters. His expressive Paintings with their impressive color and dynamic shape are particularly popular. Keil mainly uses oil-based paints and a mixture of oil and acrylic on canvas. His repertoire focuses on the Human form. Keil is fascinated by people on the fringes of society, the stories of those who have been pushed too far. His inspiration is based on his view of man as an essentially social being. Exhibit “Refugees, Displaced Persons, and War Brides: The Early History of the American Civic Association in Binghamton” to open at the ACA on First Friday   February 2, 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm (during the First Friday Art Walk)   The American Civic Association 131 Front Street Binghamton, NY 13905   The American Civic Association (ACA), the Bundy Museum of History and Art, and Humanities NY are proud to present this upcoming exhibit on the early history of the ACA, featuring the first ever public display of documents and artifacts from the 79-year-old organization.   The exhibit will include: - Radio Programs and Recordings from the Early Years of the American Civic Association, Including digitized versions of ACA Founder Michael Gavigan’s “An Irishman’s Dream” - Poster Collections used in ACA Social and Political Campaigns - Photo and Periodical Collections Sampled from the ACA Archives - Examples of the Primary Source Materials Available to Researchers at the Collection (Examples) - First Hand Accounts of the Early Work Done by the ACA.   Founded by local immigrants, the American Civic Association has been the only institution for the resettlement of refugees and supporting of migrants and refugees in the Binghamton area since its founding in 1939. It provides immigration services, citizenship preparation, English as a Second Language courses, GED courses, legal assistance and other services, and functions as a multi-cultural community center for any person, regardless of citizenship status.   All are welcome.   Entry: Suggested $5 individual donation or $15 family donation.   Light refreshments will be provided.
