Recorder: Past and Present

The Harmony Club of Binghamton presents “Recorder: The Past and Present” at its March 7 lecture/recital at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 305 Murray Hill Road. The informative and entertaining program is free and open to the public. For more information, visit harmonyclubbgm.org. The one-hour recital features Jeff Wahl on recorder and John Isenberg on harpsichord and piano. The history and future of the instrument will be showcased through works from the 1500s to the present.
Featured performers also include Erin Taylor on oboe and bassoon and Raeleen Bichleer on cello.
As an instrumentalist, Wahl has been a guest artist at St. James Church in Johnson City and a featured performer in Monterey Bay, California, Garmisch Germany, Petrozavodsk Russia and at St. Matthews Church in Washington D.C.
Wahl is from the Binghamton area, and has settled here after 11 years of service in the U.S. Navy.
The recital is followed by a reception. If schools are closed on March 7, snow date is March 14.
