In 2012, the Bundy Museum acquired a limited number of small, wooden clock doors (ranging from 18.5”x 9” to 28.5” x 9”) made for Bundy Dial Recorders. The ununsed doors were abdanondaed during the factory’s relocation to Endicott in 1904. We asked local artists to reimagine these forgotten industrial objects as artistic objects.
As Binghamton has re-invented itself from factory town to art haven, it’s appropriate that these discarded clock pieces be transformed into works of art. For the Bundy Museum of History & Art, the intersection of industrial past and local art is particularly meaningful. This fusion of local history and art is what the Bundy Museum is all about.
