“Eye of the Beholder” Art Exhibit

opens March First Friday at the Broome County Arts Council As an artist, Lori Farist’s  ultimate goal is to invoke emotion from the viewer. To do this she focuses on simplifying shapes, colors, and light so that she doesn’t get bogged down on the perfection of details but to concentrate on the information that stirs the soul. Espere: Health and Hope in Haiti

Art Exhibit Opens February First Friday at the Broome County Arts Council Espere: Health and Hope in Haiti opens First Friday, February 3, from 6-9pm at the Broome County Arts Council, 81 State Street, 5th floor, Binghamton. The art exhibit celebrates the Health for Haiti course at SUNY Broome Community College, which brings students, faculty, local professionals and community volunteers together to address some of the most pressing needs of our neighbors in Haiti. BCAC Awarded $100,000 by the Hoyt Foundation

The Broome County Arts Council (BCAC) has been awarded a $100,000 grant by the Stewart W. and Willma C. BCAC Call for Exhibition & Program Proposals

Broome County Arts Council (BCAC) is planning gallery exhibitions and programs for 2017. BCAC invites fine artists and cultural curators who live and work in Broome County to submit proposals for gallery exhibitions and programs for consideration by BCAC’s Program and Marketing Committee. Proposals are invited from visual artists, poets and writers, musicians, and performing artists, as well as curators of cultural programs with local significance.
