Were you art-full this past week?

Hope the rain didn’t dampen your enthusiasm for arts and entertainment this past week and weekend. Please share what you did, where you went,  who you heard.

Enjoyed “Other Voices, Other Rhythms” at EPAC on Friday. The show was presented by Dance Stories, EPAC’s resident dance company led by Rene Neville, which performed African dance styles. One dancer moved with such genuine joy that you could feel it leaping off the stage. The drumming group Alode offered skillful African and Middle Eastern rhythms. And an a cappella trio that included Noelle Chaddock Paley sang classic Negro spirituals and Civil Rights-era freedom songs in crystalline harmonies. The show itself flowed as smoothly as the performances for an appreciative audience on a hot, steamy evening.
