Orazio Salati headshotOrazio Salati is a local artist and gallery owner as well as a retired art educator. He has always had a love for Abstract Expressionism. In the process, his photographs are joined to the canvas and then the entire painting is completed through a blending of colors, the creation of textural surfaces, and, sometimes camouflaging the photograph. Orazio states “it is always interesting to see people take a ‘second glance’ at my paintings to see if their eyes have deceived them.”

Orazio has many years of experience teaching and making art as well as reviewing the work of others, giving them the ability to make suggestions to prepare for college entry, showing work publicly, or simply exploring new directions for future growth.
