Rod Sutton Photography Exhibit at 6 On The Square

A keen observer of nature since a young age, Rod’s photos express his appreciation of nature and wildlife.  One of his first jobs was as at Rogers Environmental Center in Sherburne, where he had the opportunity to feed a variety of hatchery animals, including ducks and geese.  He also spent time organizing their reference library, although he admits to spending more time reading and studying these reference books than organizing.

After 20 years in advertising and commercial and industrial photography, Rod found himself at the DCMO campus in Norwich starting a new academic program in 1993 in Visual Communications.  After a decade in that position, he accepted the position as Coordinator of Instructional Technology.

Retirement from BOCES in 2012 offered Rod the opportunity to study and photograph animals in their natural habitats.  He also returned to his initial love of herpetology, and presents programs on reptiles and amphibians.

This exhibit will hang on our walls through March of 2018, and can be seen during 6OTS performances or by special arrangement.
