‘The Liar’

at Binghamton University

Our spring production schedule kicks off at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23*, in Watters Theater with The Liar, a comedy by David Ives, adapted from the 17th-century play by Pierre Corneille

Directed by professor Tom Kremer, this fresh adaptation is hilarious, mischievous, romantic and delightfully intricate. The extravagant liar ‘Doronte’ tells anything but the truth to win the hand of the alluring ‘Clarice’ — or is it ‘Lucrece,’ her shy friend that he’s fallen for? Watch as mayhem unfolds as someone who can’t tell the truth meets someone who can’t tell a lie. What happens, one may ask? Only the audience knows! Laugh yourself silly watching this masterful mix up of falsehoods that bloom into truths.

Tickets for the performances can be purchased at the Anderson Center Box Office, online anytime or by phone at 607-777-ARTS. $18 for the public, $16 for alumni/faculty/senior/staff and $10 for students.

*Student tickets are $5 for opening night, discount at the Box Office only.
Performances of The Liar are at 8 p.m. Feb. 23, 24, 28, and March 1, and at 2 p.m. Feb. 24, in Watters Theater.
