April Program for ‘The Hungry Ear’
‘The Hungry Ear’, the library program celebrating the art of the short story, loads up with four stories covering the Civil War, WWII, and Vietnam. Chris Nickerson will read ‘A Short Wait Between Trains’, by Robert McLaughlin, and ‘Little Beaver’ by Charles Durden. David Cleutz steps up to tell ‘Brassard, Mourning, Official’ by Miller Harris, and ‘If Grant Had Been Drinking At Appomattox’, by James Thurber. These stories bring the listener to situations that soldiers have endured through the ages.. It takes place on Monday, April 30th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Exhibit Room, second floor, Broome County Library, 185 Court St. Judy McMahon hosts.This is a free program and open to the public.
