2018 French-American Jazz Exchange Guidelines and Application are Now Available!
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and FACE Foundation are pleased to announce that the NEW French-American Jazz Exchange (FAJE) program guidelines and application are now available online.
FAJE is a program of FACE Foundation and Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation in collaboration with the French Embassy in the United States and celebrates the United States and France’s shared passion for jazz. The 2018 FAJE program has been designed to encompass two complementary grant components: grants for French and American musicians (Creative Project Grants) and grants for American presenters booking FAJE collaborations (FAJE On Tour).
FAJE Creative Project Grants support projects jointly conceived by French and American professional musicians that encourage artistic exploration, foster intercultural dialogue, and contribute to the dynamism of jazz as an art form. FAJE will prioritize projects the have the capacity to reach new audiences and engage communities through public performance.
Building upon MAAF’s existing FAJE Tours program, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and FACE Foundation will partner to expand the touring component of FAJE through FAJE On Tour. This expanded program will launch in the summer of 2018 and provide national touring support for recently completed FAJE Projects. Please see the FAJE Guidelines to read more about the new FAJE On Tour program.
